This section lists the supported vNIOS for OpenStack X5 series appliances and their specifications.

You have the option to configure the storage in one of the following ways: 250 GB for virtual appliances running on NIOS versions prior to 9.0.1, 500 GB for NIOS versions 9.0.1 and later, or a value between 150 GB and 2.5 TB configured during the first boot if the vNIOS instances are set up with resizable images.

# vNIOS for OpenStack Trinzic Appliances

The following table lists the supported vNIOS for OpenStack Trinzic appliances:

| **vNIOS Appliance** | **Overall Disk (GB)*** | **vCPUs** | **Memory Allocation (GB)** | **Supported as Grid Master and Grid Master Candidate** |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| IB-V815 | 500 | 2 | 16 | Yes |
| IB-V825 | 500 | 2 | 16 | Yes |
| IB-V1415 | 500 | 4 | 32 | Yes |
| IB-V1425 | 500 | 4 | 32 | Yes |
| IB-V2215 | 500 | 8 | 64 | Yes |
| IB-V2225 | 500 | 8 | 64 | Yes |
| IB-V4015 | 500 | 14 | 128 | Yes |
| IB-V4025 | 500 | 14 | 128 | Yes |

**Note**: Although IB-V815 can be configured as a Grid Master or Grid Master Candidate, Infoblox does not recommend it because its small memory and vCPU configuration may cause performance issues.

# vNIOS for OpenStack Reporting Appliances

You can configure the vNIOS virtual appliance as a Grid member or a reporting member. When you set up a vNIOS reporting virtual appliance, it is used solely for reporting purposes. You cannot add licenses to run other services such as DNS and DHCP on a reporting appliance. The Infoblox reporting solution automates the collection, analysis, and presentation of core network service data that assists you in planning and mitigating network outage risks so that you can manage your networks more efficiently. For more information about Infoblox Grids and reporting solution, refer to the *[Infoblox](https://docs.infoblox.com/)*[ ](https://docs.infoblox.com/)*[NIOS](https://docs.infoblox.com/)*[ ](https://docs.infoblox.com/)*[Documentation](https://docs.infoblox.com/)*. Note that for reporting, you must create an instance that has a second disk associated with it. For more information see, the Setting Up the OpenStack Flavors for vNIOS section in the *[vNIOS for OpenStack Installation Guide](https://docs.infoblox.com/space/vniosopstack/1097335878/Infoblox+Installation+Guide+vNIOS+for+OpenStack)*.

The following table lists the supported vNIOS appliances for reporting:
