This section highlights the supported vNIOS for Google Cloud Trinzic X6 appliances and their specifications.

The following tables lists vNIOS for Google Cloud models that support:

- One and two network interfaces configuration in NIOS 8.6 and later releases.
- High availability (HA) configuration in NIOS 9.0.4 and later releases.

# vNIOS for Google Cloud Trinzic Appliances

The below table lists the models of vNIOS for Google Cloud appliances supported in NIOS 9.0.1 and later. These models support the cloud platform feature. To use the feature, you must install the Cloud Platform license. For more information, refer to the *Managing Licenses in NIOS 9.0.1* topic in the *[Infoblox NIOS Documentation](https://docs.infoblox.com/space/NIOS/35400616/NIOS)*.

> ⚠️ **Note**
> ⚠️
> ⚠️ - Up to NIOS 9.0.6, Infoblox supported large configurations or instance types on IB-V926, IB-V1516, IB-V1526, IB-V2326, and IB-V4126 appliances. From NIOS 9.0.7 onwards, Infoblox also supports small configurations or instance types without sacrificing Infoblox stated performance. vNIOS appliance models perform equally well even with small configurations and have the same service capabilities as the larger configurations.
> ⚠️ - If you have deployed large configurations, you do not need to re-deploy your configuration to a smaller instance; however, you can do so if you desire.
> ⚠️ - These specifications have been thoroughly tested and qualified for each Trinzic X6 series model. Each of these specifications is capable of functioning effectively either as a Grid Master, Grid Master Candidate, or as a Grid member regardless of which services are enabled. However, if you are using Threat Protection/DNS Infrastructure Protection (in NIOS 9.0.8 or later), see the specifications at [https://infoblox-docs.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/vniosspec/pages/1488715947](https://infoblox-docs.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/vniosspec/pages/1488715947).

Use N4 instance types for vNIOS appliances running on NIOS 9.0.7 or later:

| **vNIOS Virtual Appliance** | **Appliance Configuration** | **Overall Disk (GB)** | **vCPUs** | **Memory Allocation (GB)** | **Instance Type** | **Supported as Grid Master and Grid Master Candidate** |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| IB-V926 | Small | 500 | 8 | 16 | n4-highcpu-8 | Yes |
| Medium | 500 | 8 | 32 | n4-standard-8 | Yes |
| Large | 500 | 8 | 64 | n4-highmem-8 | Yes |
| IB-V1516 | Small | 500 | 16 | 32 | n4-highcpu-16 | Yes |
| Medium | 500 | 16 | 64 | n4-standard-16 | Yes |
| Large | 500 | 16 | 128 | n4-highmem-16 | Yes |
| IB-V1526 | Small | 500 | 16 | 64 | n4-standard-16 | Yes |
| Medium | 500 | 16 | 128 | n4-highmem-16 | Yes |
| Large | 500 | 32 | 64 | n4-highcpu-32 | Yes |
| IB-V2326 | Small | 500 | 32 | 64 | n4-highcpu-32 | Yes |
| Medium | 500 | 32 | 128 | n4-standard-32 | Yes |
| Large | 500 | 32 | 256 | n4-highmem-32 | Yes |
| IB-V4126 | Small | 500 | 80 | 160 | n4-highcpu-80 | Yes |
| Medium | 500 | 80 | 320 | n4-standard-80 | Yes |
| Large | 500 | 64 | 512 | n4-highmem-64 | Yes |

Use n1 instance types for vNIOS appliances running on versions prior to NIOS 9.0.7:

| **vNIOS Virtual Appliance** | **Overall Disk (GB)** | **vCPUs** | **Memory Allocation (GB)** | **Instance Type** | **Supported as Grid Master and Grid Master Candidate** |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| IB-V926 | 500 | 8 | 52 | n1-highmem-8 | Yes |
| IB-V1516 | 500 | 16 | 104 | n1-highmem-16 | Yes |
| IB-V1526 | 500 | 16 | 104 | n1-highmem-16 | Yes |
| IB-V2326 | 500 | 32 | 208 | n1-highmem-32 | Yes |
| IB-V4126 | 500 | 64 | 416 | n1-highmem-64 | Yes |

# Guidelines and Recommendations

- The N4 instance types are supported on vNIOS instances running on NIOS 9.0.7 or later.
- You can use the values that appear by default or extend the values as per your requirements. Using less than the recommended resources can cause a reduction in performance.
- For the new vNIOS for Google Cloud models supported from NIOS 9.0.1 onwards, Infoblox recommends that you use SSDs for storage for better performance. See the tables in this topic for the supported models.
- You have the option to configure the storage in one of the following ways: 500 GB for virtual appliances running on NIOS versions 9.0.1 and later or a value between 150 GB and 2.5 TB configured during the first boot if the vNIOS instances are set up with resizable images.
