# Renaming Advanced DNS Protection and Threat Protection to DNS Infrastructure Protection

From NIOS 9.0.8 onwards, Advanced DNS Protection and Threat Protection have been renamed to
DNS Infrastructure Protection.

## Support for DNS Infrastructure Protection and DNS Cache Acceleration on Trinzic X6 Series Appliances (RFE-8736)

Instances of Trinzic X6 series appliances deployed in a Ubuntu-based OpenStack environment and running on NIOS 9.0.2 or later, support DNS Infrastructure Protection (formerly, Advanced DNS Protection or Threat Protection in versions previous to NIOS 9.0.8) and DNS Cache Acceleration (DCA) features. For more information, refer to the *About Infoblox DNS Infrastructure Protection* and *Configuring DNS Cache Acceleration* topics in the *[Infoblox NIOS Documentation](https://docs.infoblox.com/)*.
