<span style="color: #000000">After uploading the vNIOS image as defined in the </span>*[<span style="color: #000000">Uploading the vNIOS Image in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure</span>](https://infoblox-docs.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/vniosoci/pages/35443590)*<span style="color: #000000"> section, use the vNIOS image to create a custom image that you can use to deploy the vNIOS appliance on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. To create a custom image, complete the following steps:</span>

> ⚠️ If you are deploying a vNIOS appliance by using a partner image published by Infoblox in Marketplace, skip this procedure and directly deploy the instance as described in [*<span style="color: #000000">Deploying vNIOS for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure</span>*](https://infoblox-docs.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/vniosoci/pages/1930067977).

1. <span style="color: #000000">In the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Console, click the Navigation menu icon at the upper left-hand corner.</span>
2. <span style="color: #000000">Under </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Core Infrastructure</span>**<span style="color: #000000">, click </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Compute </span>**<span style="color: #000000">-></span>**<span style="color: #000000"> Custom Images</span>**<span style="color: #000000">.</span>
3. <span style="color: #000000">On the </span>*<span style="color: #000000">Custom Images</span>*<span style="color: #000000"> page, click </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Import Image</span>**<span style="color: #000000">.</span>
4. <span style="color: #000000">In the </span>*<span style="color: #000000">Import Image</span>*<span style="color: #000000"> dialog box, complete the following:</span>
  1. **<span style="color: #000000">Create in Compartment</span>**<span style="color: #000000">: Select the compartment to store the image that you are creating.</span>
  2. **<span style="color: #000000">Name</span>**<span style="color: #000000">: Enter a name for the image.</span>
  3. **<span style="color: #000000">Operating System</span>**<span style="color: #000000">: Select </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Linux</span>**<span style="color: #000000">.</span>
  4. **<span style="color: #000000">Import from an Object Storage Bucket</span>**<span style="color: #000000">: Select it and complete the following:</span>
    1. **<span style="color: #000000">Bucket in <c</span>*****<span style="color: #000000">ompartment_name</span>*****<span style="color: #000000">></span>**<span style="color: #000000">: Select the bucket that has the image you downloaded.     2. **<span style="color: #000000">Object Name</span>**<span style="color: #000000">: Select the name of the downloaded image.</span>
  5. **<span style="color: #000000">Image Type</span>**<span style="color: #000000">: Select </span>**<span style="color: #000000">QCOW2</span>**<span style="color: #000000">.</span>
  6. **<span style="color: #000000">Launch Mode</span>**<span style="color: #000000">: Select </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Paravirtualized Mode</span>**<span style="color: #000000">.</span>
  7. <span style="color: #000000">Click </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Import Image</span>**<span style="color: #000000"> and wait for importing to complete. Note that this process takes several minutes to complete.</span>
