## Support for Deploying vNIOS for Google Cloud Instances with IPv6 Networks (NIOSRFE-4367)

From NIOS 9.0.8, vNIOS for Google Cloud instances can be deployed on IPv6 networks.

## Renaming Advanced DNS Protection and Threat Protection to DNS Infrastructure Protection

From NIOS 9.0.8 onwards, Advanced DNS Protection and Threat Protection have been renamed to  
DNS Infrastructure Protection.

## Support for Fourth Generation Machine Series

Starting from NIOS 9.0.7, vNIOS for Google Cloud instances can be deployed with fourth generation image types (N4). For more information, see *[vNIOS for Google Cloud X6 Series](https://docs.infoblox.com/space/vniosspec/1488748597/vNIOS+for+GCP+X6+Series)*.

## Support for Deploying vNIOS from the Google Cloud Marketplace

Starting from NIOS 9.0.6, deploy vNIOS for Google Cloud instances from the Google cloud marketplace. For deployment steps, see *[Deploying vNIOS for Google Cloud from Marketplace](https://infoblox-docs.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/vniosgcp/pages/1458798711)*.

## Support for Synchronization of Google Cloud DNS (RFE-12100)

Starting from NIOS 9.0.5, synchronize Google Cloud DNS data to NIOS to obtain a unified visualization experience. The Cloud DNS synchronization feature of NIOS has the ability to automate the process of discovery and synchronization of DNS data to NIOS from multiple projects of a Google Cloud organization. ## Support for High Availability Configuration (RFE-12151)

Starting from NIOS 9.0.4, you can deploy instances of vNIOS for Google Cloud appliances in high availability (HA) configurations. For the deployment steps, see *[Deploying a vNIOS for Google Cloud Instance with HA](https://infoblox-docs.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/vniosgcp/pages/639434755)*.

## vDiscovery to Support Discovery Across Multiple Google Cloud Projects (RFE-8680)

You can configure a vDiscovery job in a vNIOS instance running on NIOS 9.0.4 or later to discover and synchronize data across multiple Google Cloud projects linked to a host project. ## Filtering Options for vDiscovery

Starting from NIOS 8.6.3, you can configure vDiscovery jobs with CIDR-based filters to restrict vDiscovery only in included networks or skip vDiscovery in excluded networks. ## <span style="color: #000000">DHCP Support on vNIOS Instances Deployed on Google Cloud (RFE-9945)</span>

<span style="color: #000000">vNIOS for </span>Google Cloud<span style="color: #000000"> instances running on NIOS 8.6.2 offer DHCP services for on-premises networks.</span>

## <span style="color: #000000">Single Network Interface Instance of vNIOS for Google Cloud (RFE-9995 and RFE-9807)</span>

<span style="color: #000000">NIOS 8.6 introduces an option to deploy vNIOS for </span>Google Cloud<span style="color: #000000"> as a single network interface instance using VPC and shared VPC networks on </span>Google Cloud<span style="color: #000000">. The instance provides core network services such as DNS and IPAM services of a modular Infoblox solution.
