<span style="color: #000000">To create a GCP service account, complete the following steps:</span>

1. <span style="color: #000000">Log in to </span><span style="color: #0000ff">*[http://console.cloud.google.com](http://console.cloud.google.com)*</span><span style="color: #1155cc">*.*</span>
2. <span style="color: #000000">In the Navigation menu, click </span><span style="color: #000000">**IAM & admin**</span><span style="color: #000000"> -> </span><span style="color: #000000">**Service accounts**</span><span style="color: #000000">.</span>

3. <span style="color: #000000">Click </span><span style="color: #000000">**Create Service Account**</span><span style="color: #000000">.</span>

4. <span style="color: #000000">In the </span><span style="color: #000000">**Create service account**</span><span style="color: #000000"> panel, complete the following:</span>
  - <span style="color: #000000">**Service account details**</span><span style="color: #000000">: Enter a name for the service account and click </span><span style="color: #000000">**Create**</span><span style="color: #000000">.</span>

  - <span style="color: #000000">**Service account permissions (optional)**</span><span style="color: #000000">: Select and assign roles to the service account from the drop-down list, and then click </span><span style="color: #000000">**Continue**</span><span style="color: #000000">.</span>  
<span style="color: #000000">Note that for GCP vDiscovery, you must assign </span><span style="color: #000000">**Project**</span><span style="color: #000000"> -> </span><span style="color: #000000">**Viewer**</span><span style="color: #000000"> and </span><span style="color: #000000">**Compute Engine**</span><span style="color: #000000"> -> </span><span style="color: #000000">**Compute Viewer**</span><span style="color: #000000"> roles.</span>

  - <span style="color: #000000">**Create key**</span><span style="color: #000000">: Click </span><span style="color: #000000">**Create Key**</span><span style="color: #000000">, and then select the </span><span style="color: #000000">**Key type**</span><span style="color: #000000"> as </span><span style="color: #000000">**JSON**</span><span style="color: #000000">. Click </span><span style="color: #000000">**Create**</span><span style="color: #000000">.</span>

5. <span style="color: #000000">The JSON file gets downloaded and saved in your local disk. The JSON file contains key details that are necessary to establish a connection between Infoblox NIOS and GCP.</span>
