> ⚠️ **Note**
> ⚠️
> ⚠️ - vNIOS for Azure virtual appliances can be deployed from Azure Marketplace on Azure public cloud and Azure Government cloud only. Deploying from private Azure Marketplace is not supported and has not been validated by Infoblox.
> ⚠️ - Starting from NIOS 9.0.1, vNIOS for Azure virtual appliances can be deployed only with managed disks. Unmanaged disks are supported only on versions prior to NIOS 9.0.1.
> ⚠️ - For vNIOS appliances running on NIOS versions prior to 9.0.6, deployed from Azure Marketplace, Infoblox recommends running the instances with Esv3 series virtual machine sizes. For information about supported virtual appliance models and their specification, see *[vNIOS for Azure X6 Series](https://docs.infoblox.com/space/vniosspec/1488781456/vNIOS+for+Azure+X6+Series)*.
> ⚠️ - The account that you use to deploy the vNIOS for Azure instance from Azure Marketplace must be a billing account that is set up with a valid payment method and configured with the appropriate role permissions on the target subscription or resource group. Azure requires these conditions to be met for the deployment to succeed.

You can easily download and deploy vNIOS for Azure virtual appliances directly from Azure Marketplace. The vNIOS for Azure virtual appliance is pre-configured for Microsoft Azure. You only need to take a few easy steps to complete the deployment.

Before deploying the appliances, ensure that your setup meets the requirements listed in the *[Prerequisites](https://infoblox-docs.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/vniosazure/pages/37814511)* section. For the list of available vNIOS for Azure plans corresponding to the version of NIOS you want to deploy, see the *[List of vNIOS for Azure Plans](#vNIOS_for_Azure_Plans)* table.

The NIOS listings below have been deprecated and replaced with a consolidated listing for NIOS 9.0.x. If an existing virtual machine instance uses a deprecated listing, no action is required as it will not affect the virtual machine. If you receive mails regarding these deprecated NIOS listings or offers, ignore them.

- Infoblox NIOS 9.0.5 for DDI
- Infoblox NIOS 9.0.4 for DDI
- Infoblox NIOS 9.0.3 for DDI
- Infoblox NIOS 9.0.1 for DDI
- Infoblox NIOS 9.0 for DDI (BYOL)

For new virtual machine instances, use the consolidated listing **Infoblox NIOS 9.0.X for DDI (BYOL)**.

To deploy a vNIOS for Azure virtual appliance from Azure Marketplace, complete the following steps:

1. To deploy an instance directly from the Azure Marketplace portal:
 1. Sign in to the Azure Marketplace portal:
[https://azuremarketplace.microsoft.com/en-us/marketplace/apps/infoblox.infoblox-nios-for-9_0_x](https://azuremarketplace.microsoft.com/en-us/marketplace/apps/infoblox.infoblox-nios-for-9_0_x)
The page defaults to the latest version of NIOS.
 2. Click **Get it Now**, and then on the *Confirm your details to continue* page, click **Get it Now**.
An overview of the selected product is displayed; this page allows you to deploy the instance with a different version of NIOS.
 3. Choose your subscription and plan from the **Subscription** and **Plan** drop-down lists, respectively.
 4. Click **Create** to start the instance creation.

The virtual appliance deployed by using this procedure is configured with MGMT and LAN1 interfaces. If you need to set up HA, deploy two instances for node1 and node2, and then perform the steps described in *[Configuring the vNIOS Instance with High Availability](https://infoblox-docs.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/vniosazure/pages/847578419)*.
