<span style="color: #000000">Use the </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Remove host record</span>**<span style="color: #000000"> workflow to remove a host that you have created in the NIOS database. When you use this workflow, the NIOS appliance releases the IP address and removes the IPAM records associated with the host.</span>  
<span style="color: #000000">Search for a host by name or using extensible attributes and define additional criteria to refine the search. The workflow removes the matching hosts and their associated records from NIOS.</span>

<span style="color: #000000">To remove a Host record:</span>

1. Log in to the *VMware Aria Automation Cloud Services Console*.
2. On the **Services** tab, click **Orchestrator**.
3. <span style="color: #000000">In the </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Dashboard</span>**<span style="color: #000000"> panel, expand </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Library</span>**<span style="color: #000000"> and click </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Workflows</span>**<span style="color: #000000">.</span>  
<span style="color: #000000">The </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Workflows</span>**<span style="color: #000000"> folder and its contents are displayed.</span>
4. <span style="color: #000000">Expand </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Library</span>**<span style="color: #000000"> > </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Infoblox</span>**<span style="color: #000000">, and select</span><span style="color: #000000"> </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Remove Host record</span>**<span style="color: #000000">.</span>
5. <span style="color: #000000">In the top-level menu of the workflow panel, click </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Run</span>**<span style="color: #000000">.</span>  
<span style="color: #000000">The </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Remove host record</span>**<span style="color: #000000"> panel is displayed.</span>
6. <span style="color: #000000">On the </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Connection</span>**<span style="color: #000000"> tab, click </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Connection to the IPAM server</span>**<span style="color: #000000"> and select the IPAM connection as follows:</span>
  1. <span style="color: #000000">In the </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Select InfobloxIPAM:IPAMConnection</span>**<span style="color: #000000"> dialog, expand </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Infoblox IPAM</span>**<span style="color: #000000"> and select the IPAM connection.</span>
  2. <span style="color: #000000">Click </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Select</span>**<span style="color: #000000">.</span>
7. <span style="color: #000000">On the</span><span style="color: #000000"> </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Remove criteria</span>**<span style="color: #000000"> </span><span style="color: #000000">tab, from the </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Remove by</span>**<span style="color: #000000"> drop-down list, select one of the following criteria to find the Host record to be removed:</span>
  - **<span style="color: #000000">Host name</span>**<span style="color: #000000">: Specify the host name in the FQDN format. Optionally, specify the DNS view of the Host record.</span>
  - **<span style="color: #000000">IP address</span>**<span style="color: #000000">: Specify the IP address and optionally, the network view of the Host record.</span>
  - **<span style="color: #000000">Extensible attributes</span>**<span style="color: #000000">: Specify the details of extensible attributes:</span>
    - <span style="color: #000000">In the </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Number of specified extensible attributes</span>**<span style="color: #000000"> drop-down list, choose a number.</span>  
<span style="color: #000000">According to the number you chose, </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Extensible attribute #<</span>*****<span style="color: #000000">n</span>*****<span style="color: #000000">></span>**<span style="color: #000000"> tabs are added to define the extensible attributes.</span>
    - <span style="color: #000000">On each </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Extensible attribute #<n></span>**<span style="color: #000000"> tab, specify the name, value, and type of the comparison (such as equal or not_equal) to use to find the record.</span>
8. <span style="color: #000000">Click </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Run</span>**<span style="color: #000000">.</span>
