Before configuring discovery for Google Cloud Platform, you must create credentials on the Infoblox Portal.

Complete the following steps:

1. Go to **Configure > Administration > Credentials**.
2. Choose **Create > Google Cloud Platform**.
3. Specify the following fields in the *Create Google Cloud Platform Credentials* screen:
  - **Name** (*Required*): A user-friendly label you assign to this credential set. This helps you identify it later when multiple GCP integrations are configured.
*Example*: “GCP Discovery – Production”.
  - **Description** (*Optional*): A text field where you can provide additional details about the purpose or scope of this credential.
*Example*: “Used for pulling discovery data from GCP production environment”.
  - **Service Account File** (*Required*): Upload the JSON key file associated with your GCP service account. This file contains credentials used to authenticate API requests and must have appropriate permissions for discovery operations.
  - **Endpoint Override:** Specify the value for Endpoint Override, if applicable. In Google Cloud Platform (GCP), an **endpoint override** is a configuration mechanism used to redirect API traffic away from Google's default global public endpoints (like `storage.googleapis.com` or `compute.googleapis.com`) to a custom, private, or regional destination.
  - **Tags** *(Optional)*: Specify tags for categorizing and searching credentials. For more information, see <u>*[Managing Tags](https://infoblox-docs.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BloxOneDDI/pages/186745865)*</u>.
4. Click **Save & Close**.
