Cloud discovery within the Universal Asset Insights framework enables visibility into assets deployed across cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. By integrating with your cloud providers, Infoblox collects metadata and asset information to provide continuous monitoring and actionable insights into cloud-based network activity. This discovery data enhances security, performance tracking, and operational awareness across hybrid infrastructures.

This section outlines the high-level steps to configure network discovery for supported cloud providers. You must obtain and provide the necessary credentials from your cloud accounts before initiating the discovery process.

Follow these steps to configure a network discovery service for supported cloud providers in the Infoblox Portal:

1. **Create a Discovery Service**: Go to **Network** > **Services & Servers** > **Protocol Service**, and click **Create** to add a new discovery service. 2. **Open the Discovery Configuration Page**: Navigate to **Integrations > Discovery**.
3. **Select a Discovery Type**: On the **Discovery** page, select **Cloud** as the discovery type.
4. **Select a Discovery Subtype**: choose your cloud provider. For example, **Amazon Web Services**, **Microsoft Azure**, or **Google Cloud Platform**.
5. **Configure the Discovery Source**: Complete the configuration steps in the wizard for the selected cloud provider.

6. **Sync Discovery Data**: When configuration is complete, discovery data is synchronized from the cloud provider to the Infoblox Portal.
