- In the **General** step of the **Create Discovery Job Configuration** wizard, configure the following:
  - **State**: Toggle **Enabled** (green) or **Disabled**. By default, GCP discovery is **Enabled**.
  - **Name**: specify a name for the network discovery configuration.
  - **Description**: specify a description for the network discovery configuration.
  - **Sync Interval**: Choose the sync interval from the drop-down. Choose Auto if you want the Infoblox Portal to choose the sync interval automatically.
  - **Type of Access**: There are two types of access available. Choose one of the following:
    - Service Account ID + Project ID
    - Static Credential
  - **Credentials**: Select the credentials from the drop-down or create new credentials. For more information on creating new credentials, see *[Creating Google Cloud Platform Credentials](https://infoblox-docs.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/UniversalAssetInsights/pages/1689618634)*.
  - **Project ID**: Specify the Project ID for GCP.
- Click **Next**.

> ⚠️ Use static credentials for GCP discovery, as GCP service accounts are not supported for GovCloud (FedRAMP) environments. The GCP service account is created in the Infoblox Portal and then configured in GCP with the required roles and permissions. When creating the provider in the Infoblox Portal, you only need to specify the Project ID, and the assets will be automatically discovered.
