Prior to deploying a vNIOS for OCI instance, you will need a VCN in the desired region. If you are deploying vNIOS into an existing VCN, skip ahead to the Deploy vNIOS Instance in OCI section.

**Create VCN**

1. Login to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Console.
2. In the Service menu in the upper left corner, Click on **Networking** to expand.
3. Select **Virtual Cloud Networks**.

4. Click on **Create VCN**.
5. In the Create a Virtual Cloud Network pane, enter a name for your VCN.
6. If needed, use the dropdown to select the compartment where you will create the VCN.
7. Enter a CIDR Block for your VCN, for example **192.168.1.0/24**.
8. Click on **Create VCN**.

When the VCN has been successfully created, you will be taken to the Virtual Cloud Network Details page.
