A Remote Agent provides a secure way to connect your cloud-based Google SecOps SOAR instance to remote sites where Infoblox NIOS is deployed. This enables you to execute actions and playbooks on remote sites directly from Google SecOps, pull alerts and security data from remote sites, and connect to remote networks for incident response purposes.


## Steps to setup Remote Agent

- In the platform, navigate to **SOAR Settings **> Advanced > Remote Agents.

- Click the plus (+) icon on the top right of the screen to open the installation process.

- Select the Docker Installation option.

- In the first step, add the name of the agent and choose the environment it will be installed on.

- Ensure that you follow all the steps in the platform wizard, including running the Docker command on your machine.
  - *Note: When executing the Docker command, include either `--network=host` or `--network={Internetwork}` to allow the remote agent to connect to the external network or the same network as the Infoblox NIOS instance.*
- When the deployment has finished, click Next to perform a connectivity check with your new agent. A success screen will display. If something has gone wrong, a failure screen will display instead which provides helpful links for troubleshooting.
