## **Purpose**

The Infoblox NIOS integration with Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR enables automated DNS, DHCP, and IPAM workflows by sending secure API requests from **XSOAR to Infoblox NIOS** through the on-premise Cortex Engine.
This integration allows SOC teams to **trigger actions** such as blocking or unblocking malicious domains, enriching incidents with contextual DNS and DHCP data, and updating asset records directly in NIOS — streamlining investigation and response workflows.

## **Configuration Steps**

1. Navigate to **Settings & Info → Integrations → Instances**.
2. Search for **Infoblox NIOS**.
3. Click **Add Instance**.
4. Provide the following details:
  - **Server URL:** (e.g., https://<your_nios_ip>)
  - **Username/Password:** Basic Auth credentials for WAPI.
  - **Engine:** Select your on-prem *NIOS Engine*. [https://infoblox-docs.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/TMEDGInfob4/pages/1749188612](https://infoblox-docs.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/TMEDGInfob4/pages/1749188612)

5. Click **Test Connectivity** to verify connection.
6. Click **Save & Exit** to complete the setup.
