To run tests, use the tool’s “General” tab.  In the “Organization Name” and “Contact Name” fields, you can enter the name of the organization you’re running the test for and either your name or the name of a contact at the organization.<sup>1</sup>  In the “Zones to Test” field, you can enter the domain name of from one to five zones to test.<sup>2</sup>  If you enter multiple domain names, separate them by commas.  When you’re ready to test the specified zone or zones, click the “Run Tests” button.

A status window titled “Tests In Progress” should appear, showing the summarized results of the testing in real time.  Once all the tests complete, the report should appear automatically.  For a small zone, the tests should complete in no more than a few minutes.  For larger zones, or zones served by DNS servers that are slower to respond, it may take longer.

<sup>1</sup> Both of these fields are cosmetic, and are printed in the report but not used anywhere else.

<sup>2</sup> Reports that include results from multiple zones are a little difficult to read, so it’s probably best to test zones one-by-one for now.
