To create a summary route, do the following:

1. In the Infoblox Portal, go to **Manage** > **Routing** > **Summary Routes**.
2. Select an existing edge, and click **Edit**.
3. On the **Edit Summary Routes** page, click **Add** and do the following:
  1. **PREFIX**: Specify a valid IP prefix, such as 10.1.1.0/24.
  2. **STATUS**: Select **ADVERTISED **or **FILTERED**.
4. Click **Save & Close**.
