Before you create a subtenant, ensure that you complete the following:

- Purchase a Sandbox SKU from Infoblox.
- Log in to the Infoblox Portal using the parent account in which you want to create the subtenant.
- Decide on an admin user you want to use as the subtenant administrator.

To create a subtenant on the Cloud Service Portal:

1. On the **System** > **Administration** > **Subtenants** page, click **Create**.
2. In the **Create New subtenant** dialog, complete the following:

- **Name**: Enter the name of the subtenant.
- **Description**: Enter the description for the subtenant.
- **Administrator**: From the drop-down list, choose the administrator you want to define for this subtenant. The administrator is the initial user created in the subtenant and where the welcome email is sent. The drop-down list displays all admin users for the parent account. You can also create a new administrator specifically for this subtenant. For information, see *[Configuring Users](https://infoblox-docs.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BloxOneCloud/pages/35398654)*.
- **Tags**: Expand this section and click **Add** to specify the tags to be associated with the configuration:
  - **KEY**: Enter a meaningful name for the key. You can start typing in the text field to locate keys that were previously entered.
  - **VALUE**: Enter the value for the associated key. You can start typing in the text field to located values there were previously entered.

To delete a tag, select the checkbox of the tag and click **Delete**. For details, see * **[Managing tags](https://infoblox-docs.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BloxOneCloud/pages/35397076)*.

Click **Save & Close** to create the new subtenant. Infoblox Platform sends a notification to the admin user of the subtenant.

> ⚠️ Ensure that you refresh your browser after you create a subtenant for the newly-created subtenant to appear in the user account menu, located at the bottom of the left navigation bar of the Infoblox Portal. Only the administrator defined for the subtenant can see the list of user accounts. The subtenant administrator has the same login experience as other users and does not require to switch to the subtenant. In addition, subtenant administrators for multiple accounts can see the subtenant listing for all available accounts.
