To create a NIOS-X906 server via the Infoblox Portal:

1. Log in to the Infoblox Portal.
2. Go to **Manage **>** Servers**, and then click **Create Server**.
3. In the **Create Server*** *wizard, specify the following information on the **General Info** page:
  - **Name**: Enter the name of the server. This is a required field.
  - **Description**: Enter additional information about the server.
  - **Serial Number**: Enter the serial number here.  
The TE‑906 appliance includes a physical pull‑out tab on the left side of the rear chassis. The tab displays the serial number, which is visible without the appliance being powered or software installed. After ISO installation, the serial number also appears on the health screen.
  - **IP Space**: From the drop-down menu, choose or search for an IP space in which you want your server to reside.

  - **Location**: From the drop-down list, choose a location profile you want to apply to the server. When you associate a location with the server, you can find the exact location of the server on the world map. For information, see *[Viewing General Server Information](https://infoblox-docs.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BloxOneInfrastructure/pages/119211002)*. You can also apply the same location profile to multiple servers to group the servers by location. - **Tags**: Click the down arrow and then **Add** to specify the keys to be associated with the server:
  - **KEY**: Enter a meaningful name for the key.
  - **VALUE**: Select the appropriate checkbox, and enter the value for the associated key. For details, see *[Managing tags](https://infoblox-docs.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BloxOneCloud/pages/35397076)*.
