<span style="color: #000000">When a server is in the </span><span style="color: #000000">**Awaiting Approval**</span><span style="color: #000000"> state, it is waiting for your approval or denial on its connection.</span>

> ⚠️ The approval or denial process applies to connecting virtual appliances and all appliances (physical or virtual) that were revoked.

<span style="color: #000000">To approve or deny a server connection, complete the following:</span>

1. <span style="color: #000000">From the Infoblox Portal, click </span>**Network > Services & Servers > Servers**<span style="color: #000000">.</span>
2. <span style="color: #000000">Select the server for which you want to approve or deny its connection, and then click the</span><span style="color: #000000">** ...**</span><span style="color: #000000"> menu next to the server.</span>
3. <span style="color: #000000">Select </span><span style="color: #000000">**Approve**</span><span style="color: #000000"> to approve the connection. In the</span><span style="color: #000000">* Approve?*</span><span style="color: #000000"> dialog box, review the IP address and click </span><span style="color: #000000">**Approve**</span><span style="color: #000000">. The server status will change to </span><span style="color: #000000">**Online**</span><span style="color: #000000"> when you approve the connection.</span>  
<span style="color: #000000">or </span>  
<span style="color: #000000">Select </span><span style="color: #000000">**Deny**</span><span style="color: #000000"> to deny the connection. In the </span><span style="color: #000000">*Deny?*</span><span style="color: #000000"> dialog box, click </span><span style="color: #000000">**Deny**</span><span style="color: #000000">. The server status will change to </span><span style="color: #000000">**Denied**</span><span style="color: #000000"> when you deny the connection. Note that you must reboot the server if you want to re-connect it again.</span>

<span style="color: #000000">To approve or deny multiple servers at the same time, complete the following:</span>

1. <span style="color: #000000">From the Infoblox Portal, click </span>**Network > Services & Servers > Servers**<span style="color: #000000">.</span>
2. <span style="color: #000000">Select the server for which you want to approve or deny its connection, and then click the</span><span style="color: #000000">** ...**</span><span style="color: #000000"> menu next to the server.</span>
3. <span style="color: #000000">Select </span><span style="color: #000000">**Approve**</span><span style="color: #000000"> to approve the connection. In the</span><span style="color: #000000">* Approve?*</span><span style="color: #000000"> dialog box, review the IP address and click </span><span style="color: #000000">**Approve All**</span><span style="color: #000000">. The server status will change to </span><span style="color: #000000">**Online**</span><span style="color: #000000"> when you approve the connection.</span>  
<span style="color: #000000">or </span>  
<span style="color: #000000">Select </span><span style="color: #000000">**Deny**</span><span style="color: #000000"> to deny the connection. In the </span><span style="color: #000000">*Deny?*</span><span style="color: #000000"> dialog box, click </span><span style="color: #000000">**Deny All**</span><span style="color: #000000">. The server status will change to </span><span style="color: #000000">**Denied**</span><span style="color: #000000"> when you deny the connection. Note that you must reboot the server if you want to re-connect it again.</span>

> ⚠️ 
> ⚠️ When you approve the server connection, the server might temporarily enter the **Pending** state while establishing the connection. Once the server connection is established, the server state changes to **Online**. Once the server is online, you can activate applicable services or modify other configuration for the server.

<span style="color: #000000">You can also perform the following function from the </span><span style="color: #000000">**Server Actions**</span><span style="color: #000000"> menu at the top of the list:</span>

- <span style="color: #000000">**Create Template**</span><span style="color: #000000">: Select this option to create a snapshot of the server configuration and apply this template to other servers when applicable.</span>
- <span style="color: #000000">**Disconnect**</span><span style="color: #000000">: Select this option to disconnect the server, including the removal of all current services and its configuration. </span>
- <span style="color: #000000">**Revoke**</span><span style="color: #000000">: Select this option to revoke the server join token. In the </span><span style="color: #000000">*Revoke Server?*</span><span style="color: #000000"> dialog box, click </span><span style="color: #000000">**Confirm**</span><span style="color: #000000"> to revoke the server's join token. When you revoke the server's join token, the security certificate associated with the server becomes invalid, and the server status changes to </span><span style="color: #000000">**Revoked**</span><span style="color: #000000">. To reactivate the server, you must issue a new join token and approve the server connection again.</span>
- <span style="color: #000000">**Refresh Status**</span><span style="color: #000000">: Select this option from the drop-down list to get information about the server and the associated application.</span>
- <span style="color: #000000">**Replace**</span><span style="color: #000000">: Select this option to replace the current server with a different server from among the available options.</span>
- <span style="color: #000000">**Remove**</span><span style="color: #000000">: Select</span><span style="color: #000000">** **</span><span style="color: #000000">this to delete a server. When you delete a server, the API key associated with it becomes invalid. Note that the Remove function applies only to virtual servers, not physical servers.</span>
- <span style="color: #000000">**Troubleshoot**</span><span style="color: #000000">:  Choose among the following options to diagnose issues impacting the server: </span><span style="color: #000000">**Traceroute**</span><span style="color: #000000">, </span><span style="color: #000000">**DNS Test**</span><span style="color: #000000">, </span><span style="color: #000000">**Traffic Capture**</span><span style="color: #000000">, </span><span style="color: #000000">**NTP Test**</span><span style="color: #000000">, and </span><span style="color: #000000">**Restart Server**</span><span style="color: #000000">. </span>
- <span style="color: #000000">**Local Access**</span><span style="color: #000000">: Select this option to limit the server to local access only. </span>
