To modify a fixed address' inheritance, complete the following:
1. From the Infoblox Portal, click **Network** > **IPAM **> **Address Spaces**.
2. Click on the **IP Space **> **Address Block** > corresponding **Subnet**. It displays the list of address ranges that are associated with it.
3. Click☰ > **Edit** or select the respective record and click the **Edit** button to modify an address range.
4. Under **DHCP CONFIGURATION**, click > Macro (inline-media-image)
to open the **DHCP Options** panel.
5. To override **DHCP Options**, slide the **Inherit** toggle to **Override** the default inheritance chain.
6. You can also click **Add **to add an item type from the following drop-down list options:
> Macro (legacy-content)
3. Click **Save & Close** to save the record or click **Cancel** to cancel the operation.

> ⚠️ In **Override** mode, you can optionally click **Copy Global DHCP Properties** to use the global properties inheritance values.
