You may add an address range in your subnet, so Universal DDI can assign IP addresses to DHCP clients within the specified address range. The DHCP client can use the assigned IP address until the lease expires. You can also apply filters to address ranges to control how the DHCP server allocates IP addresses. For information about DHCP filters, see *[Configuring IPv4 Filters](https://infoblox-docs.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BloxOneDDI/pages/186843822)**.* To view the list of address ranges, complete the following: 1. From the Infoblox Portal, click **Network > IPAM > Address Spaces**. 2. Click **IP Space > Address Block >** corresponding **Subnet**, and click the subnet link. It displays the list of address ranges that are associated with it.** ** 3. The application displays the following information for the address range: - **Address/Name**: Displays start and end addresses of the address range. - **Description**: Additional information about the address range. - **Usage**: The usage of the address range. You can also use the **IPAM View** slider at the top of the navigation bar to toggle between the IPAM view and the DHCP view to view different information about the address range. To view DHCP information about the subnet, complete the following: 1. From the Infoblox Portal, click **Network > IPAM > Address Spaces**. 2. Click **IP Space **> **Address Block** > corresponding **Subnet**. It displays the list of address ranges that are associated with it.** ** 3. User the** IPAM View** slider to toggle to the **DHCP View**. The application displays the following information: - **ADDRESS**: Displays the subnet address. - **NAME**: Displays the name of the subnet. - **MAC ADDRESS**: The MAC address of the IPv4 lease. - **CLIENT ID**: The DHCP client identifier (option 61) in an IPv4 lease. The client sends the client identifier as option 61 in the DHCP DISCOVER and REQUEST packets, as described in *RFC2132,* *DHCP* *Options* *and* *BOOTP* *Vendor* *Extensions*. The client identifier is either the MAC address of the network interface card requesting the address or any string uniquely identifying the client. - **TYPE**: The type of the IPv4 address. - **DHCP FINGERPRINT**: The name of the DHCP fingerprint or vendor ID of the DHCP client that was identified through DHCP fingerprint detection. For information about DHCP fingerprints, see *[Configuring DHCPv4 Fingerprints](https://infoblox-docs.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BloxOneDDI/pages/186713970)*. - **LEASE START**: The date and time when the lease was issued. - **LEASE REMAINING**: The time remained before the lease expires. To view the lease usage and state of the address range in the visualization view, click the **Visualization** icon at the top navigation bar. The Infoblox Portal displays the following lease information: - **Select/Deselect All**: Click this check box to select all the following options or deselect all the options. - **Abandoned**: These are IP addresses that Universal DDI cannot lease to any devices because a response is received when pinging the address. - **DNS**: These are IP addresses configured for DNS use. - **Active Lease**: These are IP addresses that are currently in use by a DHCP client. - **Conflict (red)**: These are IP addresses that have either a MAC address conflict or a DHCP lease conflict detected through a network discovery. - **Fixed Address (yellow)**: These are fixed addresses. - **Network/Broadcast (grey)**: These are the network or broadcast addresses. - **Used (blue)**: These addresses are currently in use. > ⚠️ Only IPv4 networks are displayed in the visualization view. You can also perform the following in this tab: - Click the menu button, > Macro (inline-media-image) , to reorder the columns. - Click the menu button, > Macro (inline-media-image) , then **Edit** or select the check box for the respective record and click the **Edit** button to modify an address range. - Select an address range to view additional details. You can view additional information like start and end addresses, IP space, tags, and DHCP options. If you do not want to view the details in the right panel, click the information button, > Macro (inline-media-image) . - Click the utilization details button, > Macro (inline-media-image) , to view the address range utilization details or click the tabular view button, > Macro (inline-media-image) , to view the details in a tabular format. - Enter the value that you want to search in the **Search** text box. Universal DDI displays the list of items matching the keyword in the database. You can search by **Name**, **Description**, **Tags **(Tag key and/OR Tag value)**, Start Address, End Address and Start Address - End Address. **You cannot search by **IPv4 Utilization.** - Click the filter button, > Macro (inline-media-image) , to filter the objects by **name** and **description**. To save a filter after selecting the required parameters click **Save Filter**, specify a name for the filter, and click **Save**. To reload a previously saved filter, click the saved filters button, > Macro (inline-media-image) , and select the required filter. - Click the menu button, > Macro (inline-media-image) , then **Move to Recycle Bin** to move the object to the recycle bin. You can restore the object later or delete it permanently as required.
