<span style="color: #000000">You can associate an A or a PTR record with an IP address. When you create a record, you are specifying the name-to-address and address-to-name mappings for the IP address. The Infoblox Portal uses this data to respond to DNS queries for the IP address. When the server receives a name-to-address query, it responds with an A record for an IPv4 NIOS-X Server. Similarly, when it receives an address-to-name query for the NIOS-X Server, the Infoblox Portal responds with a PTR record that contains data for the IP address.</span>

<span style="color: #000000">You can configure DNS integration by associating a DNS View with an IP Space, so all DNS records can be automatically listed as related objects in the corresponding subnets. Alternatively, you can associate the resource records manually. </span>
