## <span style="color: #000000">Configuring NIOS</span>

<span style="color: #000000">Assuming that the NIOS grid master has multiple members created in it, each member can be configured to send the DNS Query/Response logs and/or RPZ Logs to required data connector servers.</span>

> ⚠️ 
> ⚠️ An **RO** user permission is required to receive data from NIOS in the form of DNS Query/Response logs or as RPZ logs, or to receive IPAM meta data.

## <span style="color: #000000">Configuring RPZ</span>

<span style="color: #000000">To configure RPZ, perform the following:</span>

1. <span style="color: #000000">From the NIOS, click </span><span style="color: #000000">**Grid**</span><span style="color: #000000"> ></span><span style="color: #000000">** Members**</span><span style="color: #000000">.</span>
2. <span style="color: #000000">On the </span><span style="color: #000000">*Members*</span><span style="color: #000000"> screen, click </span><span style="color: #000000">**Edit**</span><span style="color: #000000"> to configure the selected member.  </span>
3. <span style="color: #000000">Click </span><span style="color: #000000">**Monitoring**</span><span style="color: #000000"> > </span><span style="color: #000000">**Check Log to External Syslog Servers**</span><span style="color: #000000">. </span>
4. <span style="color: #000000">Click </span><span style="color: #000000">**+**</span><span style="color: #000000"> to add an external syslog server and to update the data connector credentials to which the RPZ logs will be sent.</span>
5. <span style="color: #000000">Follow the above procedure to configure all the required members and to update the respective data connector servers to which the logs will be sent.</span>
