To collect source data from NIOS and to send source data to the NIOS Reporting server, you must register Data Connector in NIOS, as follows:

1. Log in to Grid Manager.
2. Navigate to the **Grid** tab > **Grid** **Manager** > **Members** tab, and then click **Data** **Connector** in the toolbar.
3. In the **Data Connector** editor, select the **Enable Registration** checkbox.

After you configure and register the Data Connector VM with the grid, verify the registered Data Connector VM:

1. Open the **Grid** tab > **Grid** **Manager** tab, and then click **Data** **Connector** in the toolbar.
2. In the **Data** **Connector** **Cluster** tab of the **Data Connector** editor, see the details of the registered Data Connector VM.

To view detailed information about the registered Data Connector, perform the following:

1. From the **Grid** tab, select the **Grid** **Manager** tab -> **Members** tab, and then click **Data** **Connector** in the toolbar.
2. The appliance displays the following information in the *Data* *Connector* editor:
  - **Data Connector ID**: The unique ID of the Data Connector VM.
  - **Name**: The name of the Data Connector VM.
  - **Registration Time**: The timestamp of the date and time the Data Connector VM was initially registered with the Infoblox Grid.
  - **Last Activation Time**: The timestamp of the date and time the Data Connector last contacted the Infoblox Grid.
  - **Comment**: Additional information about the Data Connector.
  - **Data Connectors**: Information for all Data Connectors currently in the cluster:
    - **IP Address**: The IP address of the Data Connector VM.
    - **NAT Enabled**: Not supported in this release.
    - **NAT IP Address**: Not supported in this release.
    - **NAT Group**: Not supported in this release.
  - **Disable Cluster**: An indication of whether this Data Connector VM is to be deleted and moved to the list of deleted clusters. Deleting a VM enables you to register another Data Connector VM with the grid.

The **Data** **Connector** tab appears only for users with read-only and read-write permissions.
