The *Source* tab in **Integrations **>** Data Connectors** displays the source configurations available for Data Connector traffic. From this page, you can review existing sources, create a new source, edit or remove selected sources, search the source list, and adjust the table view by using basic columns and tag-based filters.

On the *Source* page, you can view the source dashboard showing all configured sources. The data table displays the following information: 

- **NAME**: The name of the source configuration.
- **SOURCE TYPE**: The filter criterion for the source process.
- **DESCRIPTION**: The information about the source configuration.
- **STATE**: An indication of whether the configuration is enabled or disabled.

> ℹ️ Data table columns can be selected and unselected for viewing.

For Data Connector to collect data and security logs, and for traffic flows to function properly, you must set up your sources correctly.

> ⚠️ Infoblox Threat Defense is pre-configured as the source. No configuration is required on your part.

## Creating a Source

Do the following to set up NIOS as your source before you add it to the Data Connector traffic flows:

1. Log in to the Infoblox Portal.
2. Click **Integrations** > **Data Connectors**.
3. Click **Create** located on the top action bar.

## **Editing a Source**

Do the following to edit a Data Connector source:

> 📝 Auto-generated sources cannot be edited.

1. Log in to the Infoblox Portal.
2. Click **Integrations** > **Data Connectors**.
3. Click **Edit** located on the top action bar.

## Removing a Source

Do the following to remove a Data Connector source:

1. Log in to the Infoblox Portal.
2. Click **Integrations** > **Data Connectors**.
3. Click **Remove** located on the top action bar.

## Source Configuration

In the details panel located to the right of the page, you can view the source configuration for a selected configuration. Click the information icon to open/close the panel.

## Searching Sources

Use the **Search** field on the **Source** tab to quickly locate a Data Connector source configuration. The search field filters the source table based on the text you enter.

The search applies to the source list displayed in the table. As you enter text, the table updates to show matching source configurations. This helps you locate a specific source without manually scanning the full list.

A second search field is available in the column and filter menu. Click the filter icon beside the main **Search** field to open this menu. Use the menu search field to locate available table columns or tag options, such as **Name**, **Source Type**, **Description**, **State**, or available tags.

## Filtering Sources

Click the filter icon beside the search field to open the filter and column selection menu. The menu includes a search field and grouped options. Source configuration filters can be applied based on *Name*, Source Type, *Description*, State, and *Tags*. 

- Click **Save Filter** to save a filtering configuration for later use.
- Click **Saved Filters**, to view all saved filter.
